Three students from SPM research lab, Wei Tan, Qifeng Long and Linfei Gao are selected by JSPS International Schooling on Silicon Photonics recently. As three of the six graduate students selected from Asia, they will attend the school held in Kyoto University (Japan) from November 16 to 19, 2011 with a full financial support from JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science).
The school is organized by the University of Tokyo and is supported by the JSPS Core-to-Core Program. Experts in Si Photonics from all over the world will give lectures at the fall school. Students from Europe, U.S.A. and Asia will attend this school. It will be a great opportunity for the next generation of young scientists to learn from the international renowned experts and know the most advanced developments in Si Photonics.
