On September 12th, 2014, Professor Thomas K. Gaylord, were invited to visit our group and delivered two lectures. He is currently Julius Brown Chair and Regents' Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Meanwhile, he is a Fellow of IEEE, OSA, SPIE and AAAS.

    In the morning, Prof. Gaylord visited our office and two cleanroom labs. He spoke highly of our academic environment and experimental facilities. In addition, he discussed with students about some academic problems met in experiment’s process and the methodology of scientific research.

    In the afternoon, Prof. Gaylord delivered two presentations on his recent research work. The titles were‘Pattern-integrated interference lithography (PIIL) for 1D, 2D, and 3D periodic-based structures’ and ‘Multi-filter phase imaging with partially coherent light’ respectively. The audiences were attracted by his profundity and easy-to-understand approach. In the relaxing and happy atmosphere, the lectures ended with a group photo taken in front of the classroom.
